The Brown Market Shares Program (BMSP) is a student-run, campus-based food distribution program connecting the Brown community with regional producers through affordable weekly shares of fresh, local, and sustainable produce, bread, eggs, dairy and meat.

Sign-ups for summer 2017 are now open!

Although spring has just arrived in Providence, here at Brown Market Shares Program we are already thinking about the summer. Join us for our summer season and receive an abundant share of fruits and vegetables every Thursday. Our summer share is colorful, refreshing, and delicious. Seasonal produce that appears in our summer share includes: arugula, cucumbers, tomatoes, strawberries, fresh herbs, mixed greens, and so much more! The summer season will also include two or three specialty items – for example, tomato sauce, salsa, pickles, or honey – all prepared by our farmers and local Providence makers with locally-sourced ingredients.

Per usual, we will offer additional shares including fresh bread from Seven Stars Bakery, locally produced cheese and yogurt from Narragansett Creamery, and sustainably raised meat from Pat's Pastured. This season we are also excited to feature yogurt from Sweet & Salty Farm! Sweet & Salty yogurt will be available for pick-up every other week. Shareholders cannot get enough of their plain whole milk yogurt!

The summer share will run for ten weeks, from June 15th - August 17th. Pick-ups are every Thursday from 12-6pm at Brown/RISD Hillel (80 Brown Street). Unfortunately, we will not be delivering to the Jewelry District this season. For information on pricing and payment, please click here. The deadline to sign up for the summer share is Wednesday, June 7th 11:59 PM.
